An intelligence node gathering scientists, technologists, artists and Indigenous knowledge holders to advance solutions that integrates traditional ecological wisdom, scientific research and technologies, around the questions of biodiversity, climate change and health.

Biodiversity is the bedrock of human health and well-being, supporting essential ecosystem services that provide clean air, water, and food, regulate diseases, and contribute to cultural and spiritual fulfillment. Yet, as biodiversity loss accelerates in tandem with climate change, the links between planetary health and human health are becoming increasingly evident—and increasingly under threat. In addition to accelerating biodiversity loss, climate change introduces a unique set of challenges to both human and ecosystem health, making it a profound health crisis. To address these urgent challenges, we are bringing together leading scientists, technologists, and Indigenous knowledge holders to advance a nature-health framework that integrates traditional ecological wisdom with modern scientific research. We will also support efforts aiming at identifying root causes of issues faced by IPLCs (Indigenous People and Local Communities) at the intersection between nature and health, and developing solutions to address them, integrating Indigenous knowledge with modern science and technology.
